THUNDER JUNIORS
2013 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!
The Tecumseh Thunder Juniors (21U) are national champions! They defeated British Columbia 13-3 in the gold medal game last Sunday night in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia to claim their 2nd Canadian title in the last 4 years. The Thunder completed a 6 game sweep of the tournament including a 3-0 shutout of Quebec in the semi-final. Victories over Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Saskatechewan and PEI in the round robin play earned the Thunder the right to play in the medal round.
Eric Cunningham won All-Star catcher while Brandon Gignac was given the "best glove" award at shortstop. Casey Power was All-Star designated hitter and Tim Black won the award for best pitcher.
