THUNDER 17U PROGRAM

The Tecumseh Thunder Baseball Club High Performance (HP)

OBA 17U AAA Program provides an additional opportunity for players to compete within the Thunder organization while continuing their development through a USA-model approach. This model features smaller roster sizes, increased playing opportunities, and a highly competitive environment designed to maximize player growth and exposure.

The program will include a schedule of local and travel games throughout Ontario and Michigan, with competition taking place from May through August. As a non-league team, the focus will be on meaningful developmental opportunities and high-quality competition against strong opponents.

Throughout June and July, the team will participate in premier tournaments across Ontario and the United States. FAAAST Sports tournaments in Michigan and Prep Baseball Report (PBR) events will serve as the primary U.S. tournament destinations, providing players with valuable opportunities to compete at a high level.

The goal for the 17U Thunder team will be to qualify for and compete in the 18U AAA Ontario Championship, scheduled for August 12-15, 2027, where the team will challenge themselves against the province's top 18u AAA OBA programs.

This program is designed for committed athletes seeking winter and spring training with a competitive summer baseball experience while continuing to develop their skills in preparation for future opportunities at the next level.
